The University of North Georgia Writing Center is open for Fall 2023! To get started, register for an account by clicking the link to the left or log in.

The Writing Center consults student writers about their writing throughout the writing process and across the curriculum to encourage them to become expert writers who know when to seek feedback and who learn through writing and reflection.

Select your campus schedule for in-person tutoring. Currently, these schedules take appointments for the Cumming, Gainesville, and Oconee campuses.

Select the online schedule for these online tutoring options:

1. eTutoring, where you upload a document and any supporting materials, and a consultant gives you comments for how to revise or think through your project.

  • Upload your latest draft or outline from the bottom of the appointment window any time before your appointment
  • You will receive an attachment with comments shortly after your appointment time

2. Online, where you join a live video session with your consultant. You can review documents together, talk through ideas, and so on.

  • Open your appointment window at your appointment time to find a link to a video chat
  • Arrive a few minutes early to go ahead and upload a draft or notes
  • No video? No problem! Online sessions can also be run in text chat

A couple of policies to keep in mind:

  • You can make up to one appointment per day.
  • Please arrive on time. If you have to miss your appointment, cancel as soon as possible or let us know via email.
